About the Role

We are seeking a strategic, execution-focused, and detail-driven Sr. Manager, Global Travel to lead NinjaOne’s global travel program. The Sr. Manager will be responsible for managing and scaling Navan as our core travel platform, driving supplier partnerships, and delivering cost-efficient, safe, and seamless travel experiences for our employees. This role will lead a team of Travel Coordinators, oversee travel reconciliation and virtual card programs in partnership with Finance, and design scalable policies, processes, and integrations that align with business needs. While grounded in strategic program leadership, the role also requires a hands-on approach, stepping in directly when needed to support day-to-day operations, resolve complex travel needs, and model service excellence. Reporting to the Sr. Vice President of Strategy, this role requires a proven leader with both strategic acumen and tactical operational excellence, with deep expertise in corporate travel management, vendor negotiations, and global program optimization.
 
Location - Hybrid in Austin, TX - (In the office 3 days per week Mon, Tues, & Thurs)
 
What You’ll be Doing
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Travel Coordinators to deliver service excellence and consistent program execution.
  • Oversee the relationship with NinjaOne’s appointed travel agency and travel suppliers to ensure compliance with business needs.
  • Own and scale the Navan travel management platform, ensuring adoption, integrations, and continuous improvement.
  • Build, implement, and optimize global travel policies, processes, and operational frameworks.
  • Provide strategic leadership of the travel program while remaining hands-on, stepping in alongside Coordinators during peak activity, complex travel needs, or escalations to ensure consistency and service excellence.
  • Manage travel reconciliation and reporting, partnering closely with Finance to align with the Airbase expense system.
  • Oversee virtual travel card management and ensure accurate reconciliation with Finance.
  • Partner with executive stakeholders, including Finance, Risk, and Security, to align travel policies with business priorities and duty of care obligations.
  • Analyze travel data to identify trends, optimize spend, and deliver actionable reporting to leadership.
  • Negotiate with airlines, hotels, and other travel providers to secure favorable rates and maximize ROI.
  • Manage escalations, disruptions, and urgent travel requests, ensuring swift and effective resolution.
  • Lead global and regional initiatives, such as hotel programs, communications, or operational process improvements.
  • Support the SVP of Strategy, on strategic projects and act as a trusted advisor on travel trends, risks, and opportunities.

About You
  • 7+ years of business travel management experience, with increasing scope and responsibility.
  • 2+ years of people leadership experience, with proven success leading and developing Travel Coordinators or related teams.\
  • Strong expertise in corporate travel management, including vendor negotiations, policy design, and program optimization.
  • Proficiency in Navan travel management platform is required.
  • Experience partnering with Finance teams and working within expense systems such as Airbase is required.
  • Impeccable customer service skills with a proactive, empathetic, and problem-solving mindset.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with proven ability to build scalable processes and manage multiple priorities.
  • Comfortable working outside of standard business hours to support global travelers when necessary.
  • Known for being highly collaborative, with a proven ability to build trust globally across the organization.
